Family Fun Night

It seems lately that spring will never come...

As a family we LOVE the outdoors...camping, hiking, fishing, parks, BBQ's, you name it we love it.

It has been SO cold lately and we are all going CrAzY!!

For our fun night this week I brought the outdoors in. I sent the kids on a treasure hunt and at the end "camp" was set up complete with treats and a movie for our "drive in".

We had a blast and the kids actually spent two nights in the tent we made in the living room!!

Next weekend we are going to invite some friends of ours over for smores and games...I guess if we can't take our fun outside we'll just have to bring our fun in!!!

Free Dress Day

Today was free dress day at school...meaning they didn't have to wear their school uniform.

Most kids love this dress day to express themselves and their personalities.

Alex wanted to wear the shirt and sweatshirt his dad gave him for Christmas! It has his company logo on the front and he looks just like his dad when he wears it...such a funny kid!! I love him for the joy he experiences in little things :)

Fun Time

For fun my little princess likes to do extra homework...no I'm not kidding!

Her teacher sends extra work home for her to do and she seriously LOVES to do it! I have to buy workbooks to keep with how much she likes to do it.

At night she reads in her room for a minumum of 30 minutes because she likes to...no joke.

I love this silly girl...she's a girl after my own heart!!

Park City 2012

Last week we had a great staycation in Park City. It was nice just to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life and connect as a family.

We spent a lot of time at the pool. I had forgotten how much of a fish Cami is...she would have stayed the entire week in the pool if I'd let her. By the end I had a hard time getting Alex and AJ out too.

One of our favorite things to do as a family is play games. There was no shortage of them while we were away...we played bingo, pool, ping pong, board games, puzzles, and video games. Thankfully nobody was hurt while playing them, we can get a little out of control at times :).

The hotel we stayed at had a lot of fun kid activities on site that we participated in. A few of the things we did were flag making, story time with cookies, finger painting, 3D movies, and a watermelon spitting contest.

Anthony wanted to be so independant all week. Although we brought the stroller with us everywhere he mostly just ended up pushing it himself...with nothing in it.
He especially loved pushing the elevator buttons. One day when Chance and Sierra took him for a walk he got stuck in the elevator by himself. When they found him he was just standing there with a group of people with his hands in his pocket not crying or anything.

Ready For Church

One thing I love most about Sundays is these three kids get excite to go to church. I love their sweet spirits. On days that its a struggle to get my teenagers to go :) these three give me the motivation to keep going. I'm very grateful for them.

Cami especially has a very sweet spirit. She loves church and learning about Jesus. During the week when I ask her what movie she wants to watch she will usually pick one of our movies about stories from the scriptures.
Its funny how our kids can be more of an example to us sometimes than we are to them....

Alex's Graduation

Alex graduated from kindergarten today! For the program he had to dress as animorph and he chose a panda/lizard. He did such a great job reciting his animal facts. We are so proud of him!
